Rushcliffe Juniors Group Coaching – we run FOUR session’s every week! Some session’s are currently fully booked so very limited spaces available. However we do still welcome all new enquiries.

We are very proud to have the largest growing Junior section of any Squash Club in Nottinghamshire. As of SEPTEMBER 2024 we have 47 regular individual Juniors. Across the 4 weekly session’s that we run, we have 58 regular Junior attendees. Just over 14 years ago we didn’t have any Junior Coaching or any Juniors. Some of our senior Juniors now play in the Interactive Squash Leagues & also represent the Adult Teams in the Nottinghamshire Squash Leagues!
If your child would like to become a part of our growing Club & taste Junior Squash in a fun & friendly environment, then please contact our Head Coach Leckie Dow (contact form at the very bottom of this page). Your child’s initial 1 hour Group Coaching session will be FREE of charge! All Equipment is provided by The Club, including rackets & squash balls. Sanitised protective Safety Glasses can initially be provided. But we would prefer & encourage you to supply these yourself because of Covid. Your child just needs normal PE kit & clean indoor court shoes/modern trainers.​

Leckie is a UKCC Level 2, full time, fully qualified Squash Coach. He has been coaching full time for 15 years. And has been a Member of Rushcliffe Squash Club for 13 years. His regular Assistant Coaches – Alex Fray and Richard King are also Members of Rushcliffe Squash Club. All of the coaching team have fully up to date qualifications – fully DBS Checked, Safeguarding and Protecting Children qualification, Basic First Aid training and up to date and valid England Squash License.
COURTESY – please DON’T just turn up unannounced to a session. Please contact Leckie prior to your child attending – he’ll need to know their age, general ability level, any medical conditions & have both parents/guardians contact details. Thank you!

FOR ALL SESSION’S BELOW, THERE IS A 15 MINUTE ‘COOLING DOWN’ PERIOD BEFORE, IN BETWEEN & AFTER ALL SESSION’S – THIS ALLOWS FOR THE SANITISING OF ALL RACKETS, BALLS & SAFETY GLASSES AS WELL AS ALL COURT DOOR HANDLES & OUTER EDGES. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR SON/DAUGHTER DOES NOT TURN UP TOO EARLY OR LATE FOR THEIR SESSION.

SESSION TIME – 4.00-5.30PM.

All of the ages stated above are an approximate guide only. It will vary from child to child, depending on their ability level & whether they’ve played Squash or other racket sports before. And whether they have some hand/eye coordination – the ability to use the eyes to direct attention & the hands to execute the task. In Squash, watching the moving ball, moving your feet/getting into position & then hitting the ball with the racket!

PAYING UPFRONT – £5.50 PER SESSION (£55.00 FOR 10 WEEKS) PAYABLE BY BACS.
PAY AS YOU GO (PAYG) – £7.00 PER SESSION EACH TIME YOUR CHILD ATTENDS.

PAYING UPFRONT GUARANTEES & SECURES YOUR CHILD’S PLACE.
PAYG DOES NOT SECURE THEIR REGULAR PLACE.
